[BCMA] Interesting cabinets to pass along

Burnaby Village Museum has three clothing cabinets in the collection that we want to pass along, they are out of the ordinary.

These are Weir Wardrobe Company clothing cabinets manufactured between 1900 and 1924. They are closed cabinets with glass doors and a pull out rack that carries the clothes. They were intended for use in a retail setting. The likes of Eatons and The Bay bought them.

Unfortunately we have no images of the assembled units and I have not been able to find an image on the internet. I have attached a couple of images of a door and the handle for the rack pull out.

The Weir Company started in Winnipeg and moved to Mount Forest in Ontario
