The BC Arts Council's Youth Engagement Program (YEP) provides support to organizations, including museums & galleries, that have received a BC Arts Council museum or gallery grant in the last five years.
Funding is provided to organizations that take innovative and inspiring approaches to actively engaging British Columbia's young people with professional arts and cultural organizations and their programming, through exposure to professional artists/museums professionals and arts/museums experiences, as participants in the artistic or creative process, and/or, as the primary audiences for artistic/curatorial work and programming.
Funding assistance through this program will support exemplary approaches to youth engagement and the development of programming at various stages of implementation. Eligible projects can include both new and existing youth programming initiatives.
The Youth Engagement Program builds on existing expertise in the sector by supporting programs delivered by organizations that demonstrate success in artistic/curatorial achievement, community engagement and organizational capacity.
Maximum request : $30,000
