[BCMA] Canada BC Job Grant

There are still funds remaining in the current intake for the Canada-BC Job Grant. The intake closes on March 31st and not-for-profits can apply.

Canada -BC Job Fund Agreement provides three streams of funding:

1.  Stream 1:  Canada-BC Job Grant Program (CJG)

     *   helps employers invest in training for current or new employees;
     *   Provides up to $10,000 to employers for each participant trained - government covers 2/3; Employer covers 1/3  of the cost of training;

o   Provides up to $15,000 to employers for each participant trained under the Unemployed Stream - government covers 100% of the training

2.  Stream 2 - Employer Sponsored Training (Project Based Training)

o   supports demand driven approaches to training where employers determine what kind of training is required to meet their needs,

o   training leads to an available job for project Participants

3.  Stream 3 - Employment Services and Supports Program (ESS)

o   Supports programming for client-focused skills training and employment support services - non EI participants

o   102 agreements procured and in place to serve and assist over 3200 Non-EI clients to obtain employment
