[BCMA] Registration now open for AABC's distance education course "Managing Archives" (April - June, 2017)

AABC distance education course "Managing Archives".

*Registration:* January 16 - March 10, 2017

*Course duration:* April 3 - June 12, 2017

This course is aimed at trained archivists who find themselves in charge of
an archives as well as non-archivists who find themselves managing on
unfamiliar ground. Archivists, curators, librarians, records managers,
information technologists, and volunteers may find this course useful.

Using the publications "The Lone Arranger: Succeeding in a Small
Repository" and "Management: Innovative Practices for Archives and Special
Collections" students will be introduced to the management of an archival
repository over a series of modules that include collections
management, information
technology, planning, facilities, advocacy and outreach.

Cost for the course is $350.00 for AABC members and $500.00 for non-member
plus the cost of the course textbooks.

Registration is limited to 22 students.
