[BCMA] New BC Government and Cabinet Announcement

Hello,

This afternoon at Government House in Victoria, the new BC government was
sworn in.  John Horgan and a Cabinet of 20 Ministers and two Ministers of
State were officially sworn in by Her Honour, the Honourable Judith
Guichon, Lieutenant Governer of British Columbia, with Premier Horgan
unveiling the Cabinet portfolios at the end of the ceremony.

Of note to BCMA members and museum workers and supporters across the
province is the newly-named Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.  The
Honourable Lisa Beare (MLA for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows) is taking on this
portfolio.  We will send out an email later with a full bio for Minister
Beare.  She is on Twitter at @lisabeare.

BCMA President, David Alexander has sent a letter of introduction to the
new Minister on behalf of the BCMA, including an invitation to work
together to strengthen the arts, cultural and heritage sector in our
province.
