[BCMA] Asbestos in electrical cords?

Hi, everyone - 

 

Today's question of the day is: Do power cords for old appliances contain
asbestos? We have a stage lamp here with a power cord that one of our
volunteers thinks might be asbestos. How do I tell, and what do I do about
it?
