[BCMA] Help Wanted: Mystery Objects

Hello Kelly,
Mystery #3 looks vaguely familiar. My father was an ambulance driver in
WWII and brought home a few things. One of them was glass vials that
contained a small needle which had already been threaded with stitching
thread for quick stitches during battle. Is this possible?
