Hello Denise et al,
I just thought i'd send you this link from The Critical Thinking Consortium. They have incredible resources; this link will take you directly to strategies for investigating images. This may be a great starting point for your work. Will send you some pics for MOV as well.
Cheers

Hello - My name is Denise Hansen and I have been engaged as a contractor to create three "learning with objects" toolbox resources for the BCMA.
One of the activities I am developing involves the analysis of an historic photo. I want to model the template I am designing using a BC example from one of the museums, archives or galleries in your association. In order to make this example work, I need a photo that has sufficient documentation to provide a student with clues - i.e there is an accompanying historic record (like a newspaper article, ad. poster or letter relating to what is happening in the photo). I can provide sample costume clues.I would like the image to include people and some kind of event and/or recognized setting. The image would have to be of sufficient quality for reproduction and be copyright free.
Please let me know as soon as possible if there is anything in your collection that would work. You can forward Jpeg options to me directly at dhansen155 at gmail.com<mailto:dhansen155 at gmail.com>. Please indicate the image's historic documentation and forward that as well. I am looking forward to this project! Thank-you very much.
