Hello everyone,
BCMA recently met with Community Gaming Grants staff (read more about our
meeting here
<http://museumsassn.bc.ca/archives/6287/bcma-meeting-community-gaming-grants-staff/>).
With the grant deadline for that program quickly approaching we thought it
would be helpful to have Gaming staff deliver a webinar for our members and
others in the sector as soon as possible.
Please see below for details - the webinar is scheduled for next week,
Wednesday, March 7, 10am-noon. The webinar will also be recorded and
available to our members afterward in case you can't make attend live. The
webinar is free, but please register in advance:
https://bcmagaminggrants.eventbrite.ca
If you have questions about the program, please send them to me in advance
and I will make sure they are addressed in the presentation. And if you
can't attend and have questions, please reach out to Mike Sherman,
Community Outreach Manager for the Community Gaming Grants program - he is
a friendly resource available to help with questions related to eligibility
and developing an application: mike.sherman at gov.bc.ca or phone:
778.698-8940.
Best regards,
Erica
*BCMA WEBINAR: Community Gaming Grants – Get Ready to Apply!*
Wednesday, March 7, 10am - noon
The deadline for the Province of BC’s Community Gaming Grants program
<https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/sports-culture/gambling-fundraising/gaming-grants>
is quickly approaching – applications are due April 30, 2018 for the arts
and culture category. Join Mike Sherman, Community Outreach Manager for the
Community Gaming Grants program, and Erica Mattson, BC Museums Association
Executive Director, for a webinar and Q&A presentation that will provide an
overview of eligibility criteria and program guidelines and help you get
ready to apply for the program.
This presentation is geared at new applicants to the program, those who are
new to writing the grant, or for anyone looking for a refresher on the
program. It will also be a great opportunity to bring specific questions
about your programming and funding needs and have them answered by an
expert on the program. Please read the program guidelines in advance
<https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/gambling/grants/guide-cgg.pdf>
and come with questions!
This webinar is free for BCMA members and others in the GLAM and cultural
heritage sector. The webinar will be recorded and available for free after
the presentation to BCMA members.
