[BCMA] Photography in Exhibition Areas / Living History Displays

Hi Everyone,

I've been getting inquiries lately from photographers wanting to do shoots
inside our historic buildings. They are winterized right now, making it easy
to say "no." We do not normally allow our visitors to take flash photography
during tours of the buildings, and we certainly would not give anyone free
reign to the display area of a building without the curator (myself)
present. An easy answer would be that photographers may arrange for a
booking to do a shoot, but for a fee that covers, at the least, staff time.

My question is whether other organizations have a policy in place
specifically for professional photographers wanting to use their
display/exhibition/historic spaces for photography? Any input is very
welcome, I'm at: curator at okeeferanch.ca

Thanks everyone,

Carla-Jean Stokes
