Hi, everyone,

The Creston Museum has been offered an “old” McCormick Deering threshing machine. The current owner does not know the year, but as noted in his original email below, says it has been in storage for over 50 years. In speaking to him further, he said it was used on a farm north of Edmonton; that property has recently been sold and the former owner of it gave the thresher to Mr. Shostak in order to get it off the property; it is now on Mr. Shostak’s property in Kimberley, BC. Mr. Shostak feels that, if someone has the belts for it, the machine is probably operational.

Since it has no connection to Creston, and our space restraints preclude us from adopting anything this big, I’ve offered to help him find a good home for it. He is happy to donate it, and will even deliver it if the recipient can cover his fuel costs to haul it wherever it needs to go.

If you are interested, please contact Mr. Shostak directly at wwish at telus.net <mailto:wwish at telus.net> .

Thanks!

Tammy

I recently acquired an old McCormick Deering threshing machine that has been in storage for over 50 years and am looking for a home for it, preferably a facility similar to yours and I’M wondering if you have any interest. Please reply to wwish at telus.net <mailto:wwish at telus.net> .

Thanks

Willie
