For immediate release:



2018 is the seventh year for *A Splash of Red* at the Caetani Centre!

The Caetani Cultural Center and its passionate group of volunteers and
artists are pleased to announce the upcoming “fun”raising event, *A Splash
Of Red, *to be held in the Caetani Gardens on Pleasant Valley Road in
Vernon, Thursday, August 23rd, 2018.



*A Splash Of Red*is an elegant Italian themed evening, hosted in the
beautiful gardens of the Caetani estate.  The event begins and doors open
at 5:30 pm with an aperitif reception and art viewing; to be followed by a
four course Italian dinner complete with wine pairings, all served family
style under the stars.



A live art auction will finish off the evening, featuring spectacular
original works from twenty-five renowned artists such as Doug Alcock,
Michelle Loughery, Heidi Thompson, and more ~ paintings, sculpture,
ceramics, glass!



All proceeds from this year’s Splash of Red will go directly towards the
programs and operations of the

Caetani Cultural Centre and its support for the development and evolution
of Sveva Caetani’s vision in providing an artistic and cultural heritage
centre in the North Okanagan. The event provides an opportunity for art
appreciation in a social setting, bringing the public and the artists
together in an event that creates excitement, discovery and inspiration.



The Caetani Centre has been under construction for the past eight months in
preparation for opening the main floor of the house to public access this
fall through the installation of a fire suppression system, and upgraded
electrical and HVAC systems. The Centre will be expanding its programming
this fall and winter, and will be working with the Vernon Museum and
Archives to bring the artifacts back to the house as part of a public
heritage display, set to open in the spring of 2019.


As the Caetani Centre’s largest fundraiser, A Splash of Red has raised over
$120,000 to date in support of C3’s journey to becoming an established
cultural and heritage centre for artists both locally and globally.



Suggested attire is one of casual elegance with the colors black, white
with a splash of red – it’s an outdoor garden party so we advise flat heels
and come prepared for the weather and possible cooler nighttime
temperatures!



Tickets are on sale online at www.caetani.org for $125.00 until August
20th. Only a limited number are available. Whether you are an art collector
or enthusiast, just starting your collection, or just curious about the
Caetani history, we invite you to  join us in this fun and splendid social
evening in celebration of the Caetani legacy and of art in the Okanagan ~
we welcome and encourage new audiences!



The main event sponsors for this year’s Splash of Red are Silver Star
