[BCMA] Provincial Budget Committee

Hi,  Just did a quick look through the Select Standing on Finance and
Government Services budget report. I could not find any mention of museums
or heritage, then again I did not notice any presentation from museums or
museum organizations, I could not tell from the list of survey responders if
there were museum people that had responded.

 

Sigh, just a big sigh!

 

At least other arts organizations and people stood up for culture in general
and the recommendation for increasing funding to the Arts Council is in the
report.

 

I just do not get it. I keep hearing from museum people that there is need
for more funding, but then I see almost no evidence of people even taking a
few minutes to tell the government what the priorities should be? Why???
