Don't forget that the registration deadline for the AABC's workshop
"Privacy and FIPPA for Archivists" is coming up!

Led by Alexandra Wieland, *Information and Privacy Officer (SFU)* and
Robert McLelland, *Information and Privacy Archivist (SFU),* this 1-day
workshop will provide Archivists and Records professionals with an
introduction to British Columbia's Freedom of Information and Protection of
Privacy Act (FIPPA).

Participants will learn about the legislation in the context of archival
practice and research and how to implement the legislation in their
day-to-day work. The workshop will include breakout activities and
participants are encouraged to bring their questions for discussion!

*Date: *Friday, November 9, 2018

*Time: *9:00am – 4:30pm

*Location: *Jewish Museum and Archives of BC, 6184 Ash Street, Vancouver,
BC V5Z 3G9

*Cost: *AABC Members $150.00; Non-members $200.00
