*Friday, September 7 is the deadline for the *
*Indigenous Cultural Competencies Training Bursary Program*
This bursary program is a one-time opportunity offered by the BC Museums
Association in partnership with the Province of British Columbia.
A limited number of bursaries (up to $2600) are available to cover
transportation, registration and accommodation costs for Indigenous and
non-Indigenous individuals working or volunteering in the cultural heritage
sector to participate in a full-day Indigenous Cultural Competencies
training session <http://bit.ly/BCMApreconf>. The training session will be
presented by the BC Museums Association on October 21, 2018 in Kelowna in
advance of the BC Museums Association’s annual conference.
Individuals working or volunteering in organizations with a culture or
heritage mandate and responsibility for a museum, cultural heritage assets
or historic place are eligible to apply.
Applicants may also apply to participate in the full BC Museums Association
conference

which includes an Indigenous Culture and Collaborations learning stream.
Attendance at the full conference is optional, but conference registration
costs are eligible expenses within this bursary program.
