Hello Wendy,

The Kelowna museums has a conservation lab where we do work for the public and other museums. I know we are a bit far away but someone from your museum might be traveling this way over the summer. We do charge $50 for and assessment and $80/ h for conservation work. We do offer a 15% discount to nonprofit organizations. If you want to talk further you can send me an email at nbose at kelownamuseums.ca<mailto:nbose at kelownamuseums.ca>

You can also find a list of conservators on the Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property website www.cac-accr.ca<http://www.cac-accr.ca>

Thanks

The Greek Heritage Project Museum has a model sailing ship brought to Victoria in the 1850's by the first know Greek in Victoria Nikolas Kapiotis AKA George Viena. According to family it was sailed on the boat pond at Beacon Hill Park in the 1930's! See photos attached.
it badly needs cleaning and repair. It was in a smoking house for many years and much of the very fine wire rigging is lost.
does anyone have a contact for a repair person preferably on the inexpensive side?

Wendy
