Athabasca University’s Heritage Resources Management Program in partnership with St. Albert Arts and Heritage Foundation will host a week-long workshop on Documentation and Condition Assessment starting August 12, 2019. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experiences working in groups and as part of team on historic sites in St. Albert (Alberta, Canada). The participants will explore the application of various documentation methods, from hand recording to 3D Scanning, to investigate, document, and record the existing physical forms and condition of heritage resources.
Dr. Mario Santana Quintero, associate professor of Architectural Conservation and Sustainability at Carleton University, will lead the workshop.
Dr. Santana Quintero is the Vice-President of ICOMOS and serves as an ICOMOS Canada Board member. He is the past president of the ICOMOS Scientific Committee on Heritage Documentation (CIPA). He has collaborated in several international projects in the field of heritage documentation for UNESCO, the Getty Conservation Institute, ICCROM, and the World Monuments Fund among others.

Please register by May 15, 2019 as space is limited. A Certificate of Participation will be provided.
The registration fee includes course materials, meals and refreshments, and a reception.
