*Call for Roundup Guest-Editor/Submissions*

*Guest Editor*

The BC Museums Association invites expressions of interest and proposals
from individuals who are interested in guest-editing an issue of Roundup
Magazine, our quarterly publication. We are seeking knowledgeable,
well-connected individuals with expertise in the museum or cultural
heritage sector with an interest in showcasing and promoting examples of
innovation and best practices in the sector.

You should have a keen eye for detail, strong editing, writing and
interpersonal communication skills and an ability to produce high-quality
work in accordance with the editorial and production timelines for the
magazine.

An honorarium will be provided upon completion of the issue.

*Upcoming issue:*

· Summer 2019: Small Museums Showcase (feature content will include
BCMA’s new Toolbox for Small Museums)

*Submissions *

In addition to the guest editor, we are also looking for article
submissions. We’ll need:

· Feature articles (1500-2000 words in length) on the topic of
Small Museum Showcase with a focus on practical ideas and local solutions.
Topics may include (but are not limited to) projects, collaborations,
critical/advocacy pieces, collections practices, or education

· Regular articles highlighting projects in areas of collection
management, exhibit development, programming, technology, volunteer
management, and events. These should be linked to the theme of small
museums – for example, examples of practical tools or projects and programs
that can happen with small budgets or no budget!

Roundup and BCMA depends on the amazing work of our volunteers. If you’re
interested in helping Roundup Magazine, or are looking for opportunities in
writing, publishing, photography or editing, please contact us.
