Hi Shyla,
Given the sensitive nature of your artifact collection, personally, my
first instinct would be to kindly explain why it may not be appropriate to
create 3-D reproductions of artifacts from a Holocaust Education Centre.
This is how I would approach other artifacts with cultural sensitivity or
significance (ie. perhaps First Nations objects in our collection).
I'm not sure if that's where your hesitation also comes from, but that was
my immediate reaction. Perhaps this project relates specifically to
Holocaust education, but, if not, students could potentially learn 3-D
printing from far less culturally sensitive objects.
Not sure if anyone else in the listserv had a different reaction?
Best wishes,
Carla-Jean
