[BCMA] Ok, anybody know what this is?

[Moderated BCMA subscriber listserv.]

This is a Hydrostatic Release Unit employed to automatically release a
liferaft should the HRU become submerged. The device will split in two when
a specific depth is attained due to a change in atmospheric pressure.
