Message from the NVMA Director, Nancy Kirkpatrick

After leading the North Vancouver Museum and Archives through a long period of renewal, including planning and constructing a new museum facility, the time has come to announce my retirement. My decision to retire this summer, a year before the new museum's scheduled opening, has been planned for a long time. The timing allows for a period of overlap to ensure a seamless transfer of knowledge to my successor who will then have a year to implement operational plans and to wrap-up the fundraising campaign for a new Museum of North Vancouver.  This new museum will be as extraordinary as the community it serves, and this leadership change will provide an exceptional opportunity for a new director to complete the NVMA's transformation into one of the North Shore's pre-eminent cultural resources.
