*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*



Get ready to be delighted by visiting Albertan artist (and pilot) Amy
Sallenbach’s giant mobile assemblage art + plus works-in-progress by
visiting artists Sophie Boggis-Rolfe of England and Alberto Castillo from
California.



It’s all happening at a pop-up art show and reception at the Caetani
Cultural Centre’s Studio Gallery.



*Innate Worlds*

*Exhibition Opening Reception: *Friday, May 10th, 7pm - 9pm.
*Gallery hours: *Friday, May 10th, 7-9pm, Saturday, May 11th, 11am-4pm in
the Caetani Cultural Centre Studio Gallery

*Amy Sallenbach* *is a multi-disciplinary artist and pilot who has
purposefully left the constraints of gravity behind, one way or another.*

Raised in Southern Alberta, she graduated with from the Alberta College of
Art and Design in 2001, narrowly escaping attending her own final
graduating jury critique by going in to labor immediately after installing
it.

“I earned the honorable distinction of 2nd best excuse to get out of your
final critique. 1st place went to contracting flesh eating disease in case
you’re wondering.”

*Alberto Castillo* is *a Californian artist and illustrator who's been
enjoying the lilacs and magnolias here at the Caetani Centre, while
creating intricate illustrated worlds.*



“I work intensely on my art with a steadfast passion. I love
collaborating with the community and am invested in seeing other's visions
come to life. Working with people is my joy and collective growth is my
philosophy.”



*Finally,** Sophie **Boggs-Rolfe* is a British artist with exceptionally,
astonishingly precise skills, and will be sharing some astonishing work
created from foam board, nails and black yarn.

*About the Artist-in-Residence programs:*

Caetani Centre’s Self-Directed Artist-in-Residence program is available to
artists working on creative projects anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months in
length. The program is intended to serve as a conduit between regional and
national artistic cultures by welcoming artists of any genre from across
Canada to the North Okanagan to live, create and commune. The artist stays
at the Caetani Cultural Centre and is invited to share workshops, readings
and exhibitions with the North Okanagan community.
