Hello BCMA members-
BCMA has been in discussions with CCI about how to keep the RE-ORG program
going here in Canada after its successful pilot run over the past few
years. As a result, CCI is planning to hold a RE-ORG training program in
October 2020 (see email below).
Some of you are very familiar with the RE-ORG program, but if you are not,
there are some great resources available online through the CCI website:
*RE-ORG Canada program:*
https://www.canada.ca/en/conservation-institute/services/preventive-conservation/collection-storage-reorganization.html
*CCI RE-ORG online course (6 parts) through Connecting to Collections care,
which is now available on-demand for a small fee:*

*The RE-ORG method (workbook, worksheets, additional resources) is freely
available online here: *

As you will see from the message below, CCI is now planning to train a new
group of RE-ORG trainers (October 2020) who will be able to lead workshops
and RE-ORG projects in their respective provinces. *Below is a "save the
date" message about this process. *Although CCI is *not* asking for
applications at this point, BCMA is assisting CCI with getting the word out
to our members and interested parties so you can be aware of this
opportunity and plan accordingly.
We will be sure to share more information with our members in the months to
come, but for now, if you are interested in this opportunity (i.e. to be
trained as a Re-org trainer) please let me know. I will be sure to include
you in future communications about the project.
The email below, however, is all the information we have for now!
All the best,
Anissa
