The Call for Applications for the BCMA Annual Conference Host Community
Partners is now Open!
Showcase your community’s arts, culture, and heritage to museum
professionals from every corner of the province by hosting the BC Museums
Association’s Annual Conference.
Each October the BC Museums Association (BCMA) holds an
internationally-recognized provincial conference in a British Columbia
community, bringing together hundreds of museum, heritage, arts, and
cultural experts for three days of learning, networking, and exploration.
Hosting communities have the opportunity to showcase the innovative work of
their museum, gallery, archive, heritage and related sectors, gaining great
exposure with many of the province’s leading cultural heritage experts.
If you are interested in celebrating your community’s cultural heritage and
attracting 200-300 conference delegates, we are looking for our next
communities to host the BCMA’s 2021, 2022, and 2023 annual conferences.
We also encourage partner organizations (i.e. other provincial/territorial
museum associations, GLAM-sector partners, international museum
associations) to submit proposals for a joint or collaborative annual
conference. The BCMA is also open to new conference ideas, formats, and
opportunities. We encourage creative and innovative proposals.
