*Subject:* Announcing Resilience BC

Dear partners:

During BC Multiculturalism Week last week, Premier Horgan announced
<https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2019PREM0120-002234> the launch of the
Resilience BC, a new provincial anti-racism network. Thank you to those of
you who were able to attend the announcement in Victoria in person.

This program is the direct result of the community dialogues led by
Parliamentary Secretary Ravi Kahlon across the province. We were grateful
to have the participation of many of you in these dialogues as we explored
issues and experiences of racism and hate and received recommendations on
how to better support communities in addressing this pressing issue.

The new anti-racism network will offer a multi-faceted, province-wide
approach that will provide greater focus and leadership in identifying and
challenging racism. The program will connect communities with information,
supports and training needed to respond to, and prevent future incidents
of, racism and hate. In the near future, we will be posting a request for
proposals to secure a contractor to provide central hub services.
Organizations that may be interested in bidding on this contract are
encourage to check BCBid
<https://www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca/open.dll/welcome?language=En> for further
information.

We greatly appreciate your support and commitment to anti-racism and
anti-hate as we launch Resilience BC. The guidance and advice we have
received from stakeholders across B.C. has been invaluable and we are so
pleased with the momentum in the province to towards building a more
inclusive and safe British Columbia.

Sincerely,
