Fintry Fall Fair                                                            For Immediate Release

Event: Sunday, Sept. 15

 

Celebrate one of the best summers in years by strolling through history at Fintry on Sunday.

Entertainers and vendors are setting up for the annual Fall Fair at the Fintry Estate off Westside Road. Among the attractions are Vikings doing battle with traditional weapons in real chain-mail, a juggler, live musicians, kids’ activities and great food. 

You can chat with author Raphael Nowak, who will sign copies of the first comprehensive book about Okanagan Lake after he explored some of its deepest regions.

The headliner, as always, is the grand Manor House built a century ago by Scottish aristocrat James Dun-Waters, who fell in love with the Fintry delta. Tours are available all day.

Gates to the grounds open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dogs on leash are welcome. Entry is by donation and free for kids and society members.
