Colleagues,

Due to the uncertainty of COVID restrictions that might prevent an
in-person workshop in the fall, the AABC is pleased to work with our CCI
colleagues to present the "Digital Preservation" workshop in an interactive
and online format.

Curators, Collections Managers, Conservators, Archivists and other
personnel responsible for the preservation of digital assets, particularly
in smaller institutions will be interested in this workshop that outlines
best practices for preserving digital information. Topics covered include
appropriate selection criteria for physical carriers as well as tools for
taking stock of existing digital assets and for developing digital
preservation policies, plans and procedures. Software and hardware
solutions for digital preservation in small to medium-sized heritage
institutions are also recommended.

*A COVID-friendly format!*

The workshop will be presented over 3 online sessions, held in succession.
Participants will be expected to attend each session online and will be
required to prepare with an assignment and/or readings prior to each
session (no more than 1 hour of prep time per session). Workshop materials
will be supplied 1 week before the workshop starts.
