Hello,
Today the Vernon Museum and Archives continues its storage reorganization, and as such we have several more objects available for museum transfers:
Extra special offer: We have a number of black and white, limited edition prints by the artist A.R. Cooke. They are in decent condition and show scenes of the past from across the Okanagan Valley. You might just find that one of these prints captures the community around your museum. They include:

*         Nahun (West Side Road)

* The Naramata at dock at Okanagan Landing

*         Pandosy Mission, Kelowna

*         The Fruit Union, Vernon

*         Armstrong

* The S.S. Sicamous nearing Penticton

*         The Orchard at Summerland,

* A bunkhouse at Greta Ranch

*         Inkaneep

* And the shops at O'Keefe Ranch.

For those of you with sporting collections who want to expand your reach into contemporary times we have a large BC games banner, just like the ones that hung on the sides of barricades and rink walls during the games.
A perfect pairing with the flag would be a pair of swimming trunks, decorated with Canadian maple leafs and the colors red, white and blue.
While you are enriching your sporting collection why not add a classic 1970's wineskin? These skins were once all the rage on the ski slopes of BC. Ours is in near perfect condition and the sight of it will evoke in your visitors fond memories of winters past.
For those of you with a nature theme to your sites we have a piece of embroidered fabric, about the size of a placemat, with 6 brightly colored butterflies. It's an eye catching piece and from what I can tell they are all local species. Apart from one small yellow spot it is in good condition.
We have two charming metal mugs presented by firemen to their Fire Chief in appreciation upon his retirement from the Coldstream Fire Hall.
Lastly, to those of you wishing to collect the history of hiking and camping in the region we have a canteen in a holder with a belt, and a bucket in a canvas holder. Both appear to be civilian and the bucket could use a cleaning.
I am happy to send photographs or more information. The shipping costs will be your museums responsibility, and in some cases there will be an extra 5 dollar fee for shipping materials. If you are interested please contact: Carolyn.ben at vernonmuseum.ca
