[BCMA] Seeking advice regarding developing a mission statement and strategic plan.

The Nakusp & District Museum is in the process of developing a new mission
statement and 5 year strategic plan. We were advised to reach out to other
museums, to get a sense of how you have developed your mission statements
and for advice on how you prioritized projects when developing your
strategic plan. We are in a unique situation where we can't find any prior
mission statement(s) or strategic plan(s), so we are approaching this
situation without anything to guide us. We are also made up of a relatively
new board and staff so we are feeling a little bit overwhelmed!  Any advice
you can provide is greatly appreciated. :)
