Colleagues,
While disappointing, it should come as no surprise that the decision has
been made to cancel the joint AABC/ARMA VI in-person conference and
workshops on May 7-8, 2020, scheduled to take place at Royal Roads
University. This is in line with provincial health directives to avoid
gatherings of more than 50 people in order to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Due to the uncertainty of the evolving situation and how long these
restrictions might be in place, we have decided on a cancellation rather
than a postponement and we are now looking at alternative ways to present
the conference content in an online environment.
Watch for more updates and registration options for the possible virtual
2020 conference!
~~~~~
The CCI "Digital Preservation" workshop originally scheduled for May 27-28,
2020 at the Campbell River Museum has also been postponed until Fall 2020.
We are working with our CCI colleagues to reschedule the workshop and
information about the new registration dates will be circulated when
updated.
If you have any questions about either event, please do not hesitate to
contact the EAS Coordinator at aabc.advisor at aabc.ca.
Stay healthy and take care!
