Dear Colleagues,

As you may be aware here in North Vancouver, we are opening a new museum next year - MONOVA - Museum of North Vancouver at the Shipyards District in Lower Lonsdale. It's an interesting time to open a new museum, that's for sure, and we have lots of interesting questions and challenges to embrace.

One of the things we are looking at is the tech we might need in the 'new normal' particularly for virtual events and to support the hard of hearing when masks are being worn. We will be running 'social distanced' tours and want to ensure everyone can hear so we are looking at portable mics (either headsets or lapel mics) and personal round the neck speakers for the audience.

We'd love to hear from others regarding what tech you are using, what you find has been helpful during this period and any other tech you have seen and would get if you had the budget. Feel free also to share any tech challenges and solutions you have found during this period. We really appreciate the advice and support of this group.

Warm regards,

Pamela
