The Beaty Biodiversity Museum at the University of British Columbia is
hiring a YCW position to communicate biodiversity research through the
museum.
Are you interested in integrating new technology into the museum experience
by creating web and multi-platform digital exhibits? This position at the
Beaty Biodiversity Museum at the University of British Columbia is for
creative people who enjoy working with a diverse group of collaborators to
produce unique and compelling museum exhibits. Under the supervision of the
Exhibits & Design Manager/Digital Media Specialist, you will work closely
with collection curators, researchers, and the education team to develop
content for the Researchers Revealed Project. Researchers Revealed is a
series of multimedia exhibits that provide an accessible window to the
research happening right now in the Biodiversity Research Centre at the
University of British Columbia.
Qualified candidates will have completed an undergraduate degree in either
arts or sciences with an interest in natural history & museology and
demonstrate research skills and an interest and skills in multimedia. The
candidate will have independently created multimedia content, and will have
resourceful problem-solving skills.
