[BCMA] Constitution vs Bylaws

Hello all,

We here at TAPS (The Alberni Project Society) are in the process of expanding our legal identity.  We currently have Bylaws for our not for profit society, but we now have been told we need to have both an official constitution as well as our bylaws.  Our rapid pre-Covid era growth caught us by surprise and now that we are going to have a lot of time on our hands to re-invent ourselves, we thought we would make sure we have more of a legal framework than what served us well for so many years. Our original bylaws took us months to get right to be accepted in Victoria so we want to make this change as quick as possible for our upcoming AGM.

I’d like to see some examples of your own NFP constitutions and bylaws so I have a better idea of how other organizations have addressed their identities and operations.

If your NPS would be willing to send me a copy of each (or if you have an example of a generic C&B) we would like to see what we need to take care of for our own situation.
