Hello and Happy New Year!
I am writing in regards to a new program we are in the process of putting
together here at the Vancouver Heritage Foundation.
<mail at vancouverheritagefoundation.org> Our goal is to create a Heritage Kit
for Schools in Vancouver to enhance place-based culturally diverse learning
and local community engagement in the classroom. This school kit will be an
addition to our heritage study guide for schools to further our goals of
increasing student's knowledge of local heritage places and history. You
can view our Heritage Study Guide for schools here.

We’re reaching out to inquire about any objects you might have to donate to
our Heritage for Schools kit. We hope to include small light-weight items
such as day-to-day objects, kitchen tools, old technology, toys, photos,
postcards, newspapers etc.
Please let us know if you had any items of this type to donate. All items
in the kit will be credited to the organizations they were donated from. We
would love to know about the provenance of the items and any stories you
may have associated to their histories.
A VHF representative is able to pick up items in the Lower Mainland between
now and the summer months.
If you have any questions please contact: Lyla Asmat,
lyla at vancouverheritagefoundation.org, 778-984-2786.
Thank you!
Lyla
