[BCMA] Upcoming Spring Break - Timed Admission for Children or Youth Programs?

Hi Jim,

Good for you, and thanks for raising this question! On Family Day, we offered timed entry for families/bubbles, and this went really well. If these groups consider themselves bubbles, that should work. We used Eventbrite for self-registration, but groups can phone to book a time as well. You will want to define a group size limit.

Hi, friends.  Like many of you, we are operating on limited hours Friday-Sunday due to limited visitation.  In anticipation of the upcoming two-week spring break and Easter, we would like to provide more service to our communities than just remaining closed Monday-Thursday.

We note that the Public Health Order allows gatherings for "programs for children or youth" and are thinking of providing timed admission in one or two, 2-hour blocks per day for day cares and day camp programs.  We have reviewed the Public Health Officer's regulations and the many requirements for organizers (in this case, we interpret that to be the group leader) and the owner (us) to abide by the regulations such as cleaning, ventilating and sterilization after each group.  For example, the organizers must have a COVID plan in place, must ensure distancing, etc.

We are wondering if any of our BC museums are offering such availability to small existing groups over the spring break weekend and if so, what your plans might include?
