</span></em>geared specifically for <em><span style="color:black;font-style:normal">t</span></em>eens<em><span style="color:black;font-style:normal"> returns to the
</span></em>Kelowna Art Gallery this summer. The <i>Friday for Teens Art Series</i> will run from 9 am to 2 pm every Friday, beginning July 24 and through to August 28.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">During the classes, participants can expect to develop skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, and printmaking, while being inspired by the current exhibitions on view at the Gallery. Classes highlight skills-building
and self-expression, as well as the introduction of new ideas and artistic techniques. The series is open
<span class="style781">to absolute beginners, as well as to those of intermediate skill level. Each week a different theme will be explored including
<b>Everything in Ink, Block Printing, More than Watercolour</b>, <b>Wildlife Drawing,</b>
<b>People Skills</b>, and more.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span class="style781"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The instructor will be local artist
<b>Jim Elwood. </b>Elwood<b> </b>is an accomplished artist in several media, including drawing, watercolour, and block printing. He is a graduate with honours from the University of Victoria, and has attended the Banff Centre’s studio program, as well as the
University of Calgary’s Art Education program. Elwood’s time is divided among working as an artist, an illustrator, and as an art teacher.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Registration is now underway for these high-quality, intimate classes. The cost for each class is $55.00 for members of the Kelowna Art Gallery, and $70.00 for the general public. An option to attend the entire
six-week series of classes is also available and will save participants money – with six classes for the price of five.<o:p></o:p></p>
