This is not an acting workshop, it’s much much more… Are you curious about why we do theatre, how we do it, what the roles are, how to get involved? Actor, director, and teacher, Gabriel Newman offers this dynamic and fun course at the Caetani Cultural Centre, which combines lectures on theatre history with practical hands on projects. No experience is necessary.<br class=""><br class="">Gabriel Newman has a BFA in Theatre from UVic and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Performance from UBCO. He works as a sessional theatre instructor at UBCO and Thompson Rivers University. He recently performed in The Inspector General with Okanagan College’s Red Dot Players, and A House at the End of the Road with Inner Fish Productions in Kelowna and Edmonton. He has also been touring and performing his crazy food based sory exchange performance project called Social Potluck. During the summer months and before Halloween he can be seen wandering the streets of Vernon with his Ghost Tours of Vernon. <br class=""><br class=""><br class=""><b class="">Romp into Spring with Lorna Tureski’s Writing Workshop!</b><br class=""><br class="">10am-12:30pm, Tuesdays, March 29 - April 19 (4 weeks)<br class="">OR<br class="">10am-12:30pm, Thursdays, March 31 - April 21 (4 weeks)<br class=""><br class="">A continuation of Lorna Tureski's popular Oak Table Sessions writing workshop, aimed at those who would like to integrate writing more deeply into their lives. In this series aspiring writers will practice applying the techniques of fiction to their life stories.<br class=""><br class="">Bring your tales, whoppers, mythical events, birth, death experiences and anything else you might want to get down on paper. Or just show up and write from the prompts I will give you.
