<div><b>*** Provincial Digital Library May 10th Symposium - Registration open April 18 - April 29***</b></div>
<div> </div>
<div>We are pleased to open registration for the May 10<font size="1"><span style="font-size:7.3pt;">th</span></font> Provincial Digital Library Symposium.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>In April 2014, the BC Government announced the creation of a Provincial Digital Library (PDL). A PDL could be conceptualized as a phased, multi-year project, guided by an over-arching vision of access to the intellectual, historical and cultural record
of the Province for the people of British Columbia. In its simplest form, a PDL’s intent is to provide access to a range of materials that may enrich the intellectual and leisure life of a citizen, showcase the contributions of individuals, organizations and
government, and contribute to the economic well- being of the province.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Please join the conversation surrounding a PDL for British Columbia. This meeting is open to <b>all interested participants</b>. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>The agenda is shaping up to lead us toward a shared vision, to a potential governance structure, to deepen the conversation around metadata and infrastructure, and to formulate possible next steps for the coming 12 months.</div>
