We had our funding approved for the one student we wanted, but for 10 weeks instead of 16. It seems that many organizations are only getting 10 weeks this year. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'>While we can provide a few extra weeks this year, if this continues it’s going to be a deterrent to students wanting to apply, as most of our summer staff come from other cities. Last year it was 3 students for 14 weeks, this year it is 4 students for 9 weeks.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Frankly I cannot see how we can accept this offer. We already top up the wage and pay all the MERC’s, and usually extend the students a couple of extra weeks.
