<p class="MsoNormal">Five years ago several residents of Kaslo got
together around the idea of a Kaslo and West Kootenay celebration
of Canada’s annual Asian Canadian Heritage Month -- May. We all
enjoy Spring celebrations, and perhaps more so when they bring the
possibility of expanding one’s understanding of neighbours and
cultures that are growing more significance in our lives; and
especially when an opportunity to taste others’ foods is included.
From its very 1st year this event has been almost
overwhelmingly successful, and this May the Langham continues its
new tradition with <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Red Pine</i>
and an exhibition of Asian Masks.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
