Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Here are a few pictures of the lathe, rests, head and tail end and such. If you need more detailed pictures, please let me know. These were minimized to fit in the
email.

The whole thing is about 6 feet long and three feet deep. The maximum length of piece you can get on the lathe is 32" between centers. It has a swing of 8" from centers to the bed.

My best guess as a result of a Google images search, is that it is vintage 1890's to early 1900's for the castings. The frame was probably built by my grandfather when he moved into North Vancouver in the mid
1920's. The motor is patented 1931 according to the label on it. From the looks of it, the lathe was built for use in a powered farm setting or small woodworking shop. It originally used a flat pulley belt with a join in it. Later, we used it with a fabric
belt until the big GE motor stopped working. Then we installed a compression fit v-belt pulley on the tail end of the head stock as you can see in the pictures.

Antan Phillips (my Grandfather) moved into the mid-Lonsdale area of North Vancouver with his family in 1926. In 1928 the family moved onto property in the Capilano area of North Vancouver and set up a work shop. It was used extensively by my grandfather and
his four sons, myself and my brother until the late 1990's. Since 2006 the lathe has been in dry storage, and then my current shop. I have many memories of my grandfather working away on various sized bowls and trays on the lathe.
