professional practice I joined the BCMA in a desire to give back to the museum
community that has supported me so well. I joined to be able to have the
opportunity to teach members and institutions how to effectively photograph
their 2d and 3d collections for the necessity of digital presentation and
preservation. There are many specialized techniques and paradigms relating to
digitization of collections; I am conversant with most and interested in sharing
that knowledge with you at your own location. And I am willing to do so for just
direct travel expenses and an honorarium of $100 per day.</B></FONT></P>
<P style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0in; LINE-HEIGHT: 12pt" align=left><FONT
style='face: "Palatino' Linotype, serif?><B>Any suitable model of
teaching/learning experience is open for discussion including group sessions
with neighbouring institutions, targeted subject topics, inside studio or
outside locations, etc.. I would hope to make any occasion fun and useful to

d'Estrubé is a mostly retired professional photographer practicing for over 45
years. His practice included many specialty areas including table-top studio,
artefact, location commercial, advertising, portraiture, copy-work ,
architectural and more. Because his career was so extensive and varied his
professional oeuvre comprises the largest such collection in the BC Archives at
over 144,000 images. He is also extensively collected by the University of
Victoria Library, Special Collections with many thousands more. </FONT><FONT
style="size: 3">Rob is also the author of one of the world’s largest
photographs, about 50’ x 365’, commissioned by the Canadian Museum of
Civilization, now the Canadian Museum of History. He lives happily in Victoria
