The object I wish to move to another outdoor display is a 1914 Fire Hose cart. It is currently in our main building and takes up an immense amount of room which we feel would be better utilized for other exhibits. We had also contemplated windows or plexi.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">So now I have my answer for that issue.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">My concern is the affect of heat and cold on the cart. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">Can someone give some suggestions as to the level of climate control, if any, is recommended?</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">Photo of said cart is attached.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">Cheers</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">Diana Ball</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large">Chase and District Museum and Archives</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia,serif;font-size:large"><a href="mailto:chasemuseumsociety@gmail.com">chasemuseumsociety@gmail.com</a></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Thu, Feb 22, 2018 at 10:20 AM, Moderated BCMA subscriber listserv. <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:bcma@lists.vifa.ca" target="_blank">bcma@lists.vifa.ca</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div lang="EN-CA" link="blue" vlink="purple"><div class="m_-2125210430256541216WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal">Hello, world!<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">I am in the midst of planning an exhibit for an outdoor space (photo below). I want to put a couple of chainsaws out there, as well as saw blades and other objects from some of the local sawmills. However, as this is right at the main entrance to the Museum’s property, I also want to keep that nice welcoming openness of the shed – so I was thinking Plexiglas display cases without wooden or metal frames – just a support along the bottom – to protect the objects without adding any more solid structure to the space than absolutely necessary. The cases will be along the sides of the shed, between the support posts, so under the roof but still within range of blowing rain and snow.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">I’m pretty sure sealed Plexi will keep most of the bugs out, but what about condensation?
