Awards, introduced in 1997 at the first Museums and the Web conference, when the word “Web” in a museum was almost synonymous with “innovation.” Today, MW conferences have come to represent innovation in the cultural sector at large, much of which happens
beyond the web and outside of museums, so in 2016 we relaunched the Awards as the GLAMies to share the best projects across the sector at galleries, libraries, museums, and archives worldwide. <br class="">
