<p class="MsoNormal">The Museum of Vancouver is seeking a Summer Collections Assessment Technician to assist both with the Museum’s Collection Assessment Project and with the cataloguing and digitization of new acquisitions. This temporary full-time position
is funded in part by the Young Canada Works employment initiative. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assessing artefacts in the Museum’s collection based on their relationship to Vancouver through the use of primary records. This position will also assist in the cataloguing and
digitization of new acquisitions, and aid in the installation of a new exhibit. The Summer Collections Assessment Technician will work closely with the Curator of Collections and the Curatorial Associate, and participate in Collection Committee meetings, Curatorial
and Engagement Team meetings, and all-staff meetings.<o:p></o:p></p>

specimens and other Vancouver historical artefacts. This temporary full-time position is funded in part by the Young Canada Works employment initiative.

<p class="MsoNormal">The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for condition reporting and rehousing museum objects by building archival grade mounts. This position will also assist in the installation of a new exhibit. The successful candidate
will work closely with the Conservator, Curator of Collections and Curatorial Associate and participate in Collections Committee meetings, Curatorial meetings, and all-staff meetings.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The ideal candidate will have at least two years of post-secondary education in a related field (museum studies, archaeology, history, industrial design, sculpture). Previous experience in museum or archives environment involving object
