Join us on a walk into North Vancouver’s fascinating history at two important historic sites. Burrard Dry Dock opened in 1906 and was, for most of the twentieth century, the largest shipyard in Western Canada. Over
450 ships were launched from this site, most famously the WW II Victory ships. The war years were a busy time at the Shipyards when, for the first time, the work force included women! Come and listen to Shipyard Pals Sal and Su sing songs and tell you stories
about both war time heroics and the everyday lives of shipyard workers.

In the old forest in Lynn Canyon Park outdoor enthusiasts Max and Molly will entertain you with tales of North Shore mountaineering adventures. Named after Royal British Engineer and North Vancouver resident John
Linn, Lynn Canyon Park has welcomed and wowed visitors for over a hundred years. On this walk you will be introduced to some of the North Shore’s most adventurous residents – mountaineers, rescue team members, skiers and climbers.
