<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">Logging arches, also called Michigan Wheels, Big Wheels, katydids, and a host of variations, are essentially horse-drawn log skidders – two 10’ wheels with a massive axle and a
pole to hitch the horses to. We have one, and I know of maybe a couple dozen others – all in the US. I’m trying to get some idea of just how widespread they were and how many might still exist. Here’s a photo of ours, just in case my highly-technical description
