<p><strong><strong>Participatory</strong><strong> Arts & </strong><strong>Engagement</strong><strong> Specialists</strong> </strong>is a new research and development group focused on innovative community-based arts programming for art galleries and museums in British Columbia.</p>

<ul>
<li>Full consultation service in community-based arts programming.</li>
<li>Short-term curatorial facilitation and/or workshops.</li>
<li>Short-term development of community-based arts programming projects.</li>
<li>Research and development of proposal and funding services.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Principal & Curatorial Facilitator - Dr. Scott Marsden Ph.D. M.F.A.</u></strong></p>
<p>Dr. Scott Marsden has 20 + years of diverse and eclectic work experience in community-based exhibitions, public programming combined with a rigorous background in academic research and development of collaborative and participatory approaches.</p>
<p><strong><u>The Challenge</u></strong></p>
<p>Many art galleries and museums are re-examining their roles within their communities and how to better engage with the public. One of the consequences of this development is a growing interest in alternative models of public engagement that explores arts and culture programming incorporating concepts collaboration, participation and community-based art practices.</p>
<p><strong><u>Our Solution</u></strong></p>
<p>Our work specializes in the development of community-based art practice that utilizes collaboration and participation in a blend of curatorial facilitation, informal learning and creative forms of engagement with art galleries museums and communities.</p>

<p>Our creative approach includes:</p>

<li>Research and develop community-based art programming.</li>
<li>Research and develop community-based arts programming making links to community, local and regional art practice, arts programming and public engagement.</li>
<li>Research and develop participatory and collaborative processes in working with art galleries and museums.</li>

<p><strong><u>Fee</u></strong></p>
<p>Our fee is based on an hourly rate and estimated hours to complete the contract. We also offer sliding scale tailored to the capacity of clients.</p>
