<DIV>Please join us for this art filled fundraiser for the Shawnigan Lake Museum
- <EM>A Night at the Lake with E.J. Hughes and Friends</EM> This art and appie
event will take place in the spectacular Read Crewhouse, Shawnigan Lake School
on July 13th from 7-10. E.J. Hughes was not only discovered when he lived in
Shawnigan Lake, he also did the bulk of his career work when he lived here. As a
result, the Shawnigan Lake Museum has been given several original drawings and
we have a gallery dedicated to Hughes within the museum.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>At the fundraiser Robert Amos, artist, and author of<EM> E.J. Hughes Paints
Vancouver Island</EM> will talk about Hughes and Shawnigan Lake. Patricia Martin
Bates, artist, will talk about her friendship with Hughes.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>An impressive list of artists will have art pieces for sale (set price)
including Shawnigan paintings by Robert Amos; paintings by David Goatley; a
carving by Richard Shaw; paintings by Kristine Paton and paintings by Judy
Cadorette.</DIV>
<DIV>Art sold that night will result in a commission for the museum.</DIV>

<DIV>Tickets include one drink and light refreshments and some surprises. $100
each. Tickets are limited.</DIV>
