The IMI program increases opportunities for Indigenous music industry professionals to participate in, and further influence, B.C.'s music industry through knowledge transfer, skill development and the creation of new business opportunities. The Indigenous Music Initiative (IMI) is funded in partnership with</span><span style="color:#c00000"><span style="background-color:transparent"> </span><a href="http://www.creativebc.com/" style="background-color:transparent" target="_blank"><span style="color:#c00000">Creative BC</span></a></span><span style="background-color:transparent;color:windowtext">.<br>

<a href="http://www.fpcc.ca/arts/Programs/Indigenous-Music-Initiative/Expanding-Capacity-Indigenous-Music.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color:#c00000">Expanding Capacity in the Indigenous Music Recording Industry</span></a><span style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0)"> </span>is intended for emerging Indigenous recording engineers/producers and independent Indigenous recording studios who have demonstrated, active commitment to working within the B.C. music industry. <br>

<a href="http://www.fpcc.ca/arts/Programs/Indigenous-Music-Initiative/Touring-Promotion-Performance-Initiatives.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color:#c00000">Touring, Promotions/Marketing and Performance Initiatives</span></a><span style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0)"> </span>supports Indigenous artists, ensembles, and collectives undertaking touring, promotions, marketing and performance activities in Canada that will lead to enhanced professional opportunities.<br>

Applications are accepted from Indigenous (status, non-status, Métis and Inuit) artists, organizations and collectives located in B.C. <br>

For the first time, we are accepting Indigenous Music Initiative applications online using the new <a href="http://www.fpcc.ca/login/" target="_blank"><span style="color:#c00000">FPCC Grant Portal</span></a>. The portal makes it simpler and faster to apply for funding while placing all your grant information at your fingertips.
